not as bad as i thought.... I was really expecting it to be whole lot worse....its just uncomfortable..i was in tears when the doctor walked in...but then he calmed me down and asked me "dont u wana have kids" and i realized this was probably nothing compared to whats ahead...so yeah...i did well....jus got tense a few times n he reminded me to just relax...everything looked good..no cysts or...

My doctor does not tell much. I am 50 and twice I have had a pap smear and in 6 to 9 months he has asked me to come back in. This is after saying all is normal. What could be the reason for this? I have been canceled with the last follow-up and wonder if I should press for a different doc. I live where there is socialized medicine and it takes awhile unless you pay. Which I can do. I also ...

I have had three atypical pap smears-all 6 months apart. negative for hpv and infections and my coloscopy was okay (didn't think biopsy was needed). My pap smears were always normal before this. I am 24 years old and have never had a pap smear test. I am not sexually active (I am waiting til I get married) nor have I had any female problems down there. So, should I still need to go to a OBGYN doctor or can I still wait?
