I have a 9600gt and i was thinking about overclocking it, is there a performance gain to have with that card ? and is it safe to overclock it following the guide in this forum ? My pc is on all day.

Only just installed GPU Z and I noticed Afterburner was only overclocking the core and memory on GPU1. So anyone overclocking this card, you need to use ATI overdrive and bring down each GPU and overclock both separately. Then you have to use Afterburner to make core voltage stick after a reboot.. but I wonder if that is just over volting GPU1 and not 2? ...

After doing some research, I've recently decided experiment with some overclocking.I used the Asus Q-fan tool to bring my CPU fan up to 'performance' mode, which is at about 3000rpm. I got some donated hardware from a friend who upgraded. Running at stock speed it's idling in the bios at 60-61 degrees. A bit hot, and I plan on redoing the thermal paste.
