Hello I have a neatgear wireless router and my 2 laptop computers cannot connect. Its been work fine for almost 2years now with no problem. I tried repiaring the connection and the laptop connects for 1minute and it disconnects again. The wireless signal is on the router. I can connect via RJ45 cable. Any ideas to fix it or do I need to buy a new router. N

Can anyone please help me to resolve this problem? Once my laptop got into the web through wireless, then my PC will show a error message. I had to standby or turn my laptop off in order to use my PC to hook up with internet. Any ideas? thanks!!

If you are using WEP, generally it is better to enter the HEX code generated by the router, rather than the password. This often comes down to different ways that passwords are translated by different manufacturers. Better to use WPA (not WPA2) anyway as it is more secure. I would suggest that you try connecting with security disabled in the router -- and while you're in there make sure that ...

So you can ping the router, access the config page, but not get Internet? Can you trace to the Internet? Do you get DNS? Can the router ping the next hop address? i.e. the ISP Is bridging set up? Is the ADSL link set up? Does the router have a firewall? Does your PC have some firewall that could be interfering?
