Hi, First off, i'm not very good technically with computers etc. I purchased my new laptop a couple of months ago and got a new Netgear router. I now seem to have trouble accessing the router server on 192.168.0.1 The password seems to have been changed from the first time that I was on it (most likely by my brother). That i'm not too worried about, it's the fact that the first time i...

I just purchased a Netgear Wireless Router (WNR2000) to use in my home as a replacement to a Belkin G-class router (which had been dropping connections). After getting it working and copying all my port-forwarding info (such as HTTP, Music Streaming, etc) I notice that I cannot access my served webpage from within the LAN. As it turns out, Netgear routers don't do something called 'NAT loopback' ...

Well, I have a NetGear WGR614v6 Router, and Comcast as my ISP. I had my laptop connected to it before, it worked wonderful. But now it seems to not work good. I unhooked the wireless for about 4 months because I moved to just a desktop. But now, you see I can't stay connected to the wireless for more than 15 minuets with out getting stopped for a little bit. I'm connected to MSN and ...

The DGN2000 seems to be flavour of the Netgear month, but most routers of most makes seem to be getting both good and bad reports regarding wireless "n". What a lot of people do when they have two routers and can stand a single ethernet cable going somewhere in another room, is connect them. One connected to the phone line, the second connected to it via ethernet, and I think...

Second the notion about firmware. Many times this will fix such issues. If you continue to have problems, try connecting directly to the modem and see if the problem is ISP related. At one time we were getting dropped/lags and it turned out to be our ISP dropping the service for a few seconds. Connected to a computer, it was just a lag in connection. Connected to the router, the Linksys ...

If your router is not working the try turning off all security on the router temporarily - see if maybe it's the WPA that Windows XP 7 doesn't like. Are you using the Netgear wireless utility or letting Windows manage it?
