Hi, This old thread is now closed, but I had a question relating to the true stereo recordings of Glenn Miller and his Orchestra from Sun Valley Serenade and Orchestra Wives. I'm wondering if the CD pictured below which came out in 1997 contains the famed true stereo recordings. I know there's another CD out there actually titled "True Stereo" but it's going for big bucks. I guess...

Back in the day, I used to collect movie Soundtracks until they started using pop music to increase sales. Anyway, I dislike Halloween albums because... well, that's exactly what they sound like. Instead, I've always created my own HW music collections to create a creepy atmosphere. Here's some of my favs: Bram Stoker's Dracula Soundtrack: Main title:...

If I name older Disney movies I am sure we can all list at least one well known song from it.... Lion King- circle of life cinderella- a dream is a wish your heart makes snow white - hi ho aladdin - a whole new world They are ...

Yes! I love listening to old movie soundtracks (omg! the theme from Summer Place ...who doesn't love that?) Henry Mancini is one of my favorite film score composers, he scored Breakfast at Tiffany's and Days Of Wine And Roses , to name just a few. Do you know the theme form the Pink Panther? He did that too! You can see what range the guy had, I mean from something as tragic as Days Of Wine ...

I do enjoy the Spiceworld soundtrack a lot as well. I also like the Hairspray album and The Little Mermaid soundtrack, Chicago, Beetlejuice, Grease, Dawson's Creek, Home Alone, Music & Lyrics, and just last night I fell asleep listening to American Beauty soundtrack.

Great suggestions. I agree with you, I don't care for Halloween music that sounds Halloweenish either. I like using soundtracks and trailer music to give me that spooky and/or chaotic vibe. Here some to try out: 300 Resident Evil: Apocalypse Resident Evil: Extinction (whose same composer made Saw III Saw III

This arrived in the mail, and I can confirm this CD does contain the true stereo tracks. The mastering is not great (there's a CEDAR logo on the inside) with decent bass and mids but a high end that just sounds off. For all I know this was ripped from a VHS or laserdisc as there is some stray dialog and a couple songs without a clean ending. I'd be curious to know if the audio here is any ...

Tarantino's are my fave. Also despite all the John Williams' scores listed, which are hall of fame worthy, I didn't see mention of Jurrasic Park. That score chokes me up it's so powerful. I'll add: Silverado The Firm (not essential to the film but unique and I love it!)
