After several replies that I should not take the fluconazole one time pill for a yeast infection, I researched monistat cream and they are also classified by the FDA as a class C drug during pregnancy! Ugh! What to do! I also got "obsessive" and researched Robitussin being that a lot of us moms use that for coughs during pregnancy and its also a C! I guess we just need to suffer?...

I'm 23 weeks along and have a yeast infection, I just called the doctor, and the nurse told me that I could use Monistat, just that I had to make sure not to push the aplicator to far up. I just bought monistat 3 vaginal suppositories, but I want to know if any of you have use it before, or if I shoud buy another kind of Monistat. Thanks a lot.

I have a vaginal yeast infection (self diagnosed, but I've had them before) and picked up some (generic) Monistat-3. The box said to ask a doctor before use if you're BFing. I'm pretty sure its safe to use, but thought I'd double check here rather then delay treatment or bother my doctor on a weekend. Thanks!
