I am not quite sure whether this is the correct place to ask, but i hope it is! i recently locked my macbook pro's dvd drive and thought i can make it region free, but i have searched the whole internet and couldn't find a version for my dvd drive MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-867 can someone give me some kind of suggestion? thanks heaps!!

When I try to burn dvd in my Matshita DVD RAM UJ 85 JS i get power calibration error in nero. I also tried with some other tools like Power2Go, but no result, and DVD cannot be burned. hello, i have an acer aspire 5315 laptop and few days ago my dvd driver couldn't read any dvds and cds. i've tried to fix it and checked in device manager; an imformation came up saying "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. I have the super-drive Matshita DVD-R UJ-875. I have tried 5 different brands of DVDs they all get spit out. (My Macbook accepts them.) My iMac has some trouble reading a few DVD movie discs, but I eventually get it to go. CDs seem to have no trouble. Just blank DVDs and CDs get spit out.
