I dug out my mother's old meat grinder, it's a cast iron Keystone. I think she bought it new in the '60s or so. It is stamped "Keyco Products Inc." and 10-0. Is 10-0 the model or the knife/plate size? All I can find online are sales items. How do I care for it aside from washing in soapy water, does it need to be oiled? Is anyone using something similar?

One trick I have for helping keep moisture at bay is to add a 1 pound bag of rice to the bag, just pour it in. If you do it ...

I would not skimp on a grinder at all. I know of people who bought the cheap $99 ones at gander and other outlets......they work...but over heat, shut down, break down, etc. When doing volumes of meat. They also take for ever to grind your venison. If you are doing one deer and it is average size....you will be looking at grinding anywhere from 20-40#'s of meat (depending on what you ...
