Good Morning! On of my plans is to use cold storage. (ie rootcellar..basement) I have been reading Root Cellaring by Mike & Nancy Bubel. While this book is an excellent resource, I can't seem to find anything regarding pest control. With all those beautiful fruits & vegetables in bushel baskets, crates etc... and needing proper air circulation, I can't help but wonder how mice... etc are...

Has anyone on here ever clamped a piece of wood in the shape of a half moon to their platen on the belt grinder to get a hollow grind? I know it's not the best way to go about it but I'm gonna try because I don't have a real grinder yet. I read that if you do this, you cover the rounded part of the wood with graphite covered cork for good belt sliding. Just wondering if anyone on here has tried ...

Considering that I am traveling for the holidays (6+ weeks) and on a budget I have the following products on hand which would summate to a possible on-the-fly TD solution. The reason for my resourcefulness is I am out of Penetrate, and cannot make a full-on homebrew. So I am creating a makeshift- 7Keto Transdermal. using a hand sanitizer containing: PEG-75, Ethoxylated Lanolin, Limonene...

my boy's PC has been literally hijacked by a virus it's pretty impressive, you try to run ANY program and it says "so-and-so has been infected, start antivirus?" like it's mocking you or some sh!t, but anyways it's FUBAR, and i found most of the drivers online for the model, but i know creating the restore CD with the OS on it (XP) is gonna be at least kind of gay i've ...

Little plastic stamp dispenser on clearance at my post office. At first glance I thought it was one of those old Listerine blade frogs (that should probably worry me). Gave 50 cents for it. Took it home, cut a slit in the top with the Dremel. Should hold 10-15 dead blades before needs emptying, unlike an actual blade frog which I'm told has to be pitched when full. And it's not as big and ...

SHELTON -- Larry Morra and Viviana Cavalli, the teens killed in a motor vehicle accident here Friday night, shared a birthday and a close-knit group of friends who erected a makeshift shrine Saturday, where they gathered to mourn. Their families meanwhile huddled in their houses, Morra's on Lobdell Drive in Stratford, and Cavalli's on Woonsocket Drive in Shelton, barely two miles from...

While at school one morning, my group came across this subject: sleepovers. The one question that got us all silent was who gets the bed at a sleepover? For example, if only one friend came to your house, do you let them sleep on the bed or on a makeshift one on the floor(or other)? Some say yes you should since they are the guest; they should get the more comfy bed. Some say no you should...

Just for a little fun here . . . . Premise: You are having a Thanksgiving dinner at your house. You can invite 10 wrestlers/promoters/managers, living or dead, from any era. 6 can sit at the main dining table. Then 4 sit at . . . . the dreaded "kiddie" table. You know, the makeshift cardboard table you have to set up in the living room because you can't fit everyone in the dining room....

I had just settled into my makeshift deer stand this morning. It was still as dark as heck. I was chambering a round into my Remington Sendero. I was kind of in an awkward position trying to hold a flashlight to see what I was doing. Anyway I do not know if the cuff of my sleeve or the bottom of my coat got up in the trigger guard enough to touch the trigger before I could engage the safety. ...

Finally got around to setting up my sons bow (Alpine Micro) Wednesday, and we have been shooting it at my makeshift range in the backyard for the past couple of days. Took him to a real range today, and set up a Deer Target and he was really nailing it good out to 20 yards. What is amazing to me is how quick kids seems to pick things up and take to something.
