I just ordered a droid and have never had a smart-phone before, I use a MAC address filter instead of WEP or WPA for security on my wireless network and I'm afraid the phone won't have a MAC address and thus won't be able to access my network, anyone familiar with this?

I have a need to change the 0:0:0:0:0:0 mac address assigned to the tun0 interface so vpnc tunnel will go through mac address inspector. Since you can not ifconfig the ethers on a tun0 interface I was wondering if there is a outbound packet filter program I can run to rewrite the mac address on outbound packets from a interface? Or maybe some kind of trick I can do to get a...

Hi all, I'm building an UAC lab to control network. I intend to use Windows Active Directory 2003 (LDAP) to manage non802.1x devices (printer) via MAC address. I tried to integrate IC with LDAP but not success, I also read UAC Admin 3.1 guide. Has anyone done it before ? Please give me some instruction how to do that! Thanks and best regards, Dung

How can I find the cisco switch like 3550/60 Mac adress?. The reason here is I want to bind MAC of switch in DHCP server to receive config file. Is there any command to view this. ? If you are telling that MAC address would be default vlan 1 MAC address?

The place I live in has decided to start MAC address monitoring. I would like to know what that involves. My assumption is that, my bandwidth usage will be scrutinised, but is there anything more? How much would the network admin be able to see? I consume moderate amounts of anime, around 1-2 episodes a week. Would switching exclusively to IRC help my quest, or am I simply out of options...
