lmc truck - internet discussions

I was curious if anyone has ever bought replacement body panels from LMC truck. Wondering about the quality of the parts. I have to replace the sheet metal directly behind the drivers door, about 6" up from the bottom, as well as the rocker panel below the door. Its pieces 15 in the upper right and 4 in the bottom box. I could go to a JY and cut the pieces off a wrecked truck in the yard, ...

95-98 dash bezels at LMC Truck

http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/full.aspx?Page =35 (9) Has anybody bought a dash bezel from LMC Truck? I need another one and searching through salvage yards hasn't turned up any in decent shape. LMC mentions that the dash bezels vary in color. If I had to paint it, what is the best paint I can use?

Got a quote on reupholstering the seat in my 49 F-1. $550 or $750 with seat heaters for a pretty ordinary single fabric upholstery job. So I look around and find at seat reupholstery kit in the LMC catalog (page 62 in the Fall '09). Mac's also has them but they don't appear to offer a fabric version, just the old sticky vinyl. Anyone use one of these? I don't need a fancy custom ...

I don't know what the kit you're talking about contains, but the seat upholstery "kits" used to be just the seat cover and a large piece of cotton along with some burlap and hog rings. That was great when the 40 or 50 year old seats were new, but there are much better products available now. $550 isn't a bad price if the seat gets re-padded and the work is first rate. $750 with 2 seat ...
