i have no idea. we've always been told the grade level at which dd is reading, not a color or letter equivalent.

^^^just a followup: i plugged the judy blume books above into the scholastic book wizard site referenced below and it spit back a grade-equivalent reading level of about 4.5 (on average). the molly moon books and the city of ember were tagged at a higher grade-equivalent level of about 5.5. interestingly, my dc read the "harder" books on her teacher's recommendation in 2nd grade, but now in 3rd, ...

My 14 year old is dyslexic. We started noticing it when she was still in pre-school (i.e. - difficulty identifying letter out of sequence in the alphabet). At first, we let it go. By 2nd grade it was torture. Her comprehension level was great - I could read her college level books and she'd follow plot, character, and make incredible observations.
