I would totally recommend them for the Lares Trek, and any other tours you may wish to do in South America such as the Inca Trail or visiting other countries on the continent. The guide was great, as was the cook and porters. It was very easy to book online, or if you ...

Hi All We would like to do the Lares trek and have booked to stay at the Loki Hotel in Cusco in January 2010. We can book the Lares Trek through the Loki Hostel and they said the trek operator is Etnikas Travel Centre. I cant see any reviews about this trek operator on this forum. Has anyone any experience with going on treks with Etnikas Travel Centre ? ...

Never heard of them. As you said try and better use one of the more (often) recommended trek operators (llamapath, qente, pmexplorers, etc).

Hi there, I'll be doing backpacking in Peru and Bolivia in November December: I've already booked my Inca trail, but I was thinking to do also some trekking in the Lares valley, actually my plan was the classic trail from Huaran to Lares as i wanted to see some different countryside and some cultural aspects of the region. I was planning to do this trek on my ...

You might want to look at the website for KB Tours. The operator is the owner of KB Tambo. http://www.kbperu.com/trektour.html

No guide encouraged us to give out sweets, pens etc. The train from Aguas Calientas was dissapointing as it was at night, but...
