hi guys im having problems on my subaru after i fitted in a downpipe i just fitted the bung and disconnected the EGT sensor and now i started to get a misfire, engine wobbles. Before this i orginally had a cat on my downpipe and it was fine then. I'm wondering if this EGT sensor is important and may be the cause? my old 1 is broken so cant check it. cheers...

Hi Lads, Is there a way to check if the lamda sensor is faulty? I know a few months back it had to be replaced as my emissions were way over the NCT (Irish MOT) limit, also I noticed there was a smell of petrol fumes when I got out of the car. Lately the same symptoms are happening i.e. petrol fumes getting out of the car and two friends I had in the car said they could smell ...

Agree a leak is more likely.... ...but in case it ever helps, a fairly simple test for a Lambda just needs a cheap DVM. Track down the signal wires, dab the DVM across them then run the engine (leave the probe properly connected to the car). Once it's warmed up for a few moments, you should see around 1v to 4v on it. i am getting a universal lambda tomorrow as getting code 32 up on my 97 uk turbo.have checked the wiring on original one and have a red,black and a white.... the universal ones have 2 whites and a black.what joins to what????
