trying to decide between kimber super match II and baer concept III

vs or maybe there is something i havent considered. what im looking for is (obviously a 1911) an accurate .45acp with adjustable rear sight, 5" barrel, ambi safety, checkering on front strap and main spring housing, crisp trigger pull, preferably an extended mag well, and least important a stainless or satin finish on the frame with slide finish not mattering. i know this seems ...

Kimber Super Match II with Chip McCormick Power 10 Mags

First I woulike to say hellow since this is my first post. I have a super Match II that will not Feed anything from a Chip McCormick Power 10 Mag. I have 4 CMC power 10 mags so the the problem is not mag specific I don't have this problems with my Stainless Target II or Colt. Any suggestions. I currently have about 1000 rnds in the SM II. I'ts ironic that the $800 piston will ...

Since you have other mags that work OK in the pistol; it does seem to be a mag issue. For what ever reason, some guns just don't like some mags, and I've read more than a few posts about pistols that don't feed reliably with ten round mags. Take care, Rick

say a ECLIPE target 2, a GOLD match 2,TEAM match 2???????? if so whats done to it to be more accurate...why is it $500 to $700 more than the 3 i listed??? acording to the info on kimbers web sight they all have the same features pretty much as far as parts. and are all custom shop pistols........ thanks again im new to the 1911 world

Kimber Super Match II Finish

I have a Kimber Super Match II 45 and the finish on slide is wearing due to holster wear. I want to send in and get slide refinished. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where the Best Finish can be put on. I have no problem sending to Kimber but if there is better I sure would like to know. Thanks

Kimber Special Edition Gold Match 38 Super

I was able to pick up a Kimber Special Edition Gold Match in 38 Super caliber. It was made back in 2001 and was a limited run of 260 units. It has front strap checkering and top of slide serrations along with all of the usual Gold Match features. Does anyone know much more about these and how good they shoot?

Since I use Glocks for Personal Carry, I would have to say the best 1911 choice would depend on accuracy, since all other features of the 1911 are basically interchangeable. That leads me to nominate the Kimber Super Match II. Mine shoots 0.5" groups at 25 yards. It came that way from the Pro Shop in 2003. It is MY .45 ACP TARGET Pistol.
