The ADS/INPA tool I have is a kit interface that I bought from a guy who apparently reverse engineered the real deal and made an affordable kit . With this interface I can use either the INPA software, which is said to be the same software BMW uses in the field, or install GT1/DIS (dealership software) in a virtual machine and diagnose that way. Basically after reading all the threads in diagnostic software I then found out there are software out there that might be better than the current GT1 SSS and DIS. Yes it can adjust idle speed, well at least there is an option for it, but it stated that for M52 engine, idle speed cannot be set by software. For other engines it can. I did use it to reset my adaptations. I made a write-up of how to get an INPA interface working with DIS, in my circumstance I am using a CarSoft cable: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1312 104
