Two "polo-playing socialites from Northern Virginia" (what a description! ) crashed the White House state dinner honoring the PM of India. Sure, they claim it was all about getting their 15 minutes of fame. But I know the truth.... it was all because they didn't know where to get good Indian food here in Nova. Somebody shoulda told 'em--no need to crash the white house. If you want good...

I am a huge fan of traditional Indian food but my attempts at home have frequently fallen short. I'm a pretty proficient cook but since this is outside my normal comfort zone in terms of correctly spicing, it usually comes out too bland. Anybody here good with Indian cuisine? I'm not looking for anything crazy, just some good curries, maybe an onion bhaji, but something that you've got ...

I've had a Indian friend come visit a few times always looking for spicy Indian foods. Well the past 2 times my friends recommended places that did not live up to the tasty/spicy scale. Where can you recommend in LA/OC for the best Indian food that has some heat to it?

If your down carrigaline way people, there is a bloody savage place across from the Stables Bar. Place is called Spice - - - and is unreal, litte on the pricy side as with most Indian restraunts - but well worth it as a treat every now and again.

I don't think the Indian food in Phoenix is very good compared to other metros this large. Even Salt Lake City has better Indian cuisine than Phoenix. I'd gladly give up all of the Indian places here for one of the decent restaurants on Devon Ave. in Chicago. For overall food I guess I would pick India Delhi Palace on McDowell near Papago. Tandoori Times has the best bread, but I've had...
