Is it necessary to touch the chest with the bar on incline bench press? I have long arms so the ROM is large, just want to make sure.

Where i workout they have an incline bench, but i have had continous shoulder issues, and the incline is way to high for me, but if i take a bench where i can lower the incline a little and use the smith machine press, will i still be getting a solid workout, honestly, i am more confident on the smith machine therefore, i know the whole u cant go heavier, but i feel more resistance in final is ...

Me decline and flat bench weights are decent and comparable to one another, my incline however is alot weaker. I cant figure out why and what I can do bout it. Thanks for any advice.

hurt my traps during incline bench hey all, this morning i was on a incline isolation machine and was going pretty heavy. third set when i was bringing up my first rep i got a kink in my left side of my trap toward the middle of my back, so for my next set i went rediculously light on weight and it then transfered to my whole traps. it as if...

The bottom 3" is the most stressful part on my joints but I tend to keep the weight a bit lighter where I can put up 6-8 clean reps.

Well.... using BB definitely has its advantages in that you'd be working all of the stabilizers, which I think results in a better all-around session BUT with the machine (in my gym, they have the hammer strength machines) you don't have to worry about the weight falling on you. Also note that the standard BB is 45 lbs. while the initial resistance on the hammer strength in my gym is 6 ...

so i started the 5x5 and 3x8 routine and im finally getting sore for the chest/tricep day i did...2 incline bench, 3 flat bench 5 reps each....then i did triceps pulldowns 3x8...dips, 3x45,45,50...and finished of with 2 sets of flies 8 reps. for legs i did squats 5x5, calf raises 3x15, leg extensions 3x8 and leg curls 3x8 now today im doing back and biceps. i usually do deadlifts, ...
