Illustrator is really driving me bonkers -it's soo unintuitive compared to photoshop. Problem one: When trying to move handles on anchors, one will disappear and then clicking the anchor resets both handles. Problem two: Sometimes ctrl will move one anchor, sometimes it will move the path. Problem three: Giving layers the proper color or border. Mind boggling.

I know this may sound silly, but for anyone who's beat their heads against their keyboard because they can't save anything in Illustrator CS4 (especially older files that you've modified), I have discovered a simple solution that worked for me. Open Illustrator CS4 and then open one of your older Illustrotor files. Then go to "File" and go down to "Save a Copy..." and save the file with ...

A client sent an Illustrator EPS file to me containing the content he would like me to rework. I do not work in Illustrator, but INDD CS4. Not wanting to look like a clod I downloaded the free trial of Illustrator thinking it would be a snap to Copy/Paste the content out of the Illustrator doc and begin my work. I'm using Flash CS4 and I want to import an *AI file that contains the shapes of Europe's countries. The thing is that each country has a filling of dots (blue or yellow) instead of a solid color. IF YOU CAN HELP AT ALL, I'D GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! As the title states, both photoshop and illustrator cs3 crash when i click on the boxes to change foreground and background color. there is a workaround, as the swatches and eyedropper and such work still. i'm on a mb pro with OS 10.5.8 i don't have the disks to just reinstall it doesn't look like anybody else has had this problem ...

I have Ill. CS2 on my computer and recently had to dump the computer and reload everything Since I have reloaded CS2, when I type a word in, I used to be able to right click on it and you would see RECENT FONTS and it would show the last 5 fonts you used. I can no longer see this. Also, when i want to change a font, I have to right click and scroll one by one all the way through the font list....
