I should have worn wraps, the gloves protect your wrist, but about after 30 minutes of hitting the bag, my knuckles were raw. not to steal your thread but I've read a few posts from various sites and some state to use a light bag (8-12oz) glove then what you spar at (which is usually 16oz) or you will sacrifice speed. Is there any truth to this? I would think that training regularly with 16oz bag gloves will better prepare the stamina of your muscles for the 16oz sparring gloves.
