I understand the basics of function notation. This is an example of a problem I can easily figure out: Robert earns a weekly base salary of $300 and 6.5% commission on all books he sells. Write a function which models how much Robert earns in any given week. The answer would be: f(x) = .065x + 300 But here is where it gets a bit tricky, how would I do this one? Robert changes...

I think it would simply be TWO functions added together for any given week: Products 100 f(x)=.15x+250

thanks for the reply -- this is what I get if I use the ROUND function -- round(READINGVALUE, 2) = +3.84000000000000E+001 doesn't seem to remove the scientific notation

Actually it's a scientific notation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scienti...ion#E_notat ion It has nothing to do with the e-function you remembered.
