I bought my wife a Taurus "Judge" for X-mas and when shooting .45 rounds the gun is consistantly shooting a bit to the left compared to the sights. The gun was used and no instructions were in the box for the front fiber optic sight, but it looks as if you could move this front site side to side, if you could get the round fiber optic plastic piece pulled back and out of the way as it looks...

I have heard this is an excellent training course but have not spoken directly with anyone that has taken the defensive handgun training course. Since this Forum has so many knowledgeable shooters, I thought it would be the perfect place to ask: 1. Have you or a personal friend attended Front Sight? 2. What was your evaluation or what was your friend's evaluation of the course?...

I have an old Yugo M24 that was rebarrelled with a 308 Win set-back & rechambered 03-A3 2 groove bbl in the 60's by an old smith who also installed Williams front & rear sights. The front is a screw-on ramp that worked loose the first time I shot it (first time since the late 60s) and I need to remove the blade & re-tighten it. I am reluctant to spend 40 - 50 bucks on a store-boughten tool (my ...

I just inherited an old Remington 514 single shot .22 but the front sight is missing. Is there a formula for determining the correct height so that I can order a new front sight to put in the dovetail? I looked for a factory replacement on the Numrich site but of course it's sold out. Thanks for any help at all.

Santa brought me a new Trophy match, but I noticed my front sight does not appear to be centered on the slide. The picture shows it in relation to the lines on the top of the slide, but it also appears to be off center in relation to the barrel. Thoughts? Sorry for the large pic, but I wanted you to be able to see the detail.

I now have the proper tangent sight to re-install on my No.12. I see why it was removed, with the low tunnel sight I cant see through the tangent with the P-H 7A. I suspect there were several different height front bases. If I disregard the rear peep for now, what height front do I need to properly use the markings on the tangent? That is, what height above the barrel to the blade top ...

I have a brushed nickel finish Colt Commander and would like to install a larger front sight. Does anyone know where I could buy a large front sight (prefer large white dot) only? Does this job require a gunsmith?

Sounds like a PITA. If you want to get it off, penetrating oil on the pins and the sleeve over the barrel, and a good hammer. I had a piece of brass I had laying around to cushion the blow when I took off my SKS front sight. A little different, but same concept I imagine.

Quote: I wouldn't worry about it. You can just adjust the rear sight if it's not shooting in the center. I agree as well. The front sight should be pinned in place already. I'd shoot it first and see if the rear sight is able to compensate for this.

Quote: There is a chart that gets posted in many of these threads detailing what the shooter is doing wrong to cause the rounds to hit the target at certain areas. I believe these are targets you were referring to. ST Sorry, my first attempt at an attachment and I don't know how to show a preview .

Brass, nylon, or hardwood punch & hammer should knock it right out. Like gb6491 said though, be sure and support the ramp so you are driving against something solid and not the ramp itself. Drive it out left to right. Drive it in right to left. rc __________________ If you don't belong to the NRA Don't come ...
