Greetings and thanks for any help. I just bought a donor 84 Blazer to put its 350 motor into my 1973 FJ40. I am about to junk it after removal of 350 and was wondering if any parts were worth the effort to remove. So Im picking up a 1974 FJ40 tomorrow in Coure de Lane, ID my question is can my 2008 FJ tow it?? Should I get a dolly instead of a trailer? It may be a stupid question but it the manual it says not to exceed 5k lbs, and with the 74 FJ (with a 350 chev V8) and trailer I might be beyond the 5k lb limit.....not to mention I have a 6" lift, so will that be a factor as well? Hi all...trying to get my 67 FJ40 project rolling...I had to take it down to Johnny at Toyota Techs due to mechanical, engine and electrical issues..FJ had been sitting for some time but Johnny and Mark were able to get her cranked..somewhat...he mentioned I needed to find an amp meter or a new instrument cluster...does anyone have an extra for sale or knows what I may need to do to remedy this ...

I've an '82 FJ40 with factory power steering pump that was run dry by the PO. The pump works sometimes and others not so much, with some minimal leakage. I'd like to rebuild the PS pump. Any suggestions on where to get a seal/rebuild kit, and anyone here rebuilt one of these that may have any suggestions for the project? Thanks.

I found out something yesterday i want to share with anyone sharing my dimensions..(6'1"....310lbs)...mini truck steering wheels bolt on to the fj40 column and you can still hook up the horn wire and your truck will still be all Toyota.....and you gain a much needed 1-2 inches of gut/knee room.....to all you 5'4" 140lb guys who fit just fine behind that 17inch boat tiller

Stock original softtop model. The drivers side door opening is 1/2" wider from hinge to latch than the passenger opening. I am fitting 2-piece BestTop soft doors.
