Pushing that truck to the limit. I agree, don't buy second hand company trucks...it's the same thing with rentals, people push them to the limit just because they can. Did you know a Ford focus will do close to 75mph in first gear before it starts to smell funny?

Also, I used to do this on my civic because it make it harder for a tow truck driver to tow your car (front wheel drive car). They have to slim jim my door to release the gear or the brake first. A little trick I used to do when I was in college.

I haven't messed with the data log feature of my tuner yet. Guess I should see what it would tell me. On my truck, if you lock it out of od, leave it in drive and hammer it (wot) it shifts first to second in a normal fashion. While in second gear it sounds and almost feels like second is slipping when the converter locks up. Not a quick lockup but a slip, rpm's will change. Shift to third ...
