I have a 1996 Land Cruiser, and I need a few things. Does any one local have an exhaust resonator they cut off that can be welded back on they would like to sell? Also, I would like to buy an extra birfield in good condition to have as a trail spare. Let me know what you have, and what youd like for it. Thanks

I have a 89 535i, the muffler fell of along time ago and the resonator started rattling really loud. So I removed it and cut a big square out of the bottom so i could see what was loose. Then I started sneezing, I removed the square and saw a bunch of white hair like substance packed in their. That's a bunch of shit if it is! Any one know for shure what that ...

Has anyone removed the resonator from their Alta exhaust? The reason I ask, is I can't seem to get the exhaust positioned right so that the resonator doesn't sit against the heat shield of the car, making it extremely loud inside. I was wondering if it would be extremely loud outside if I were to just put a straight pipe in place of the resonator section. Thoughts?

i have a 2009 lx coupe manual. Do any of you guys know if it would give my stock exhaust with the stock muffler a little bit louder if i just cut the resonator off and welded a straight pipe in place of it? anybody have any experience with this or heard an exhaust with this set up, im looking for something very very quiet, possibly just a bit louder than a stock g35 coupe. thanks for any help...

I am going to replace the exhaust resonator with a cherrybomb glasspack (painted black) What size do I need? Are there any complications I will run into? Thanks

I have a 2.5 resonated Milltek turboback exhaust on my GTI and I loved the quietness for a while now, but I want it louder now. Can I take it to an exhaust shop and have them replace the resonator with piping? Will this make it louder or is the muffler still too big with this exhaust system? Any suggestions on a good shop or on how much it might run me?

Is it possible for me to take my Gti 1.8t to an exhaust shop and have them remove the resonator from my 2.5 inch turboback Milltek exhaust? If they remove the resonator and replace it will just straight piping will it make it sound a bit louder? I used to love how quiet it was, but now could use a little bit more sound. Has anyone done this before and have it be successful? I don't want to ...

Here's my secret plan/idea that I have not shared with anyone lol... Ok, so I was curious how the car would sound by removing the stock Cat and replacing the stock cat with two small magnaflow resonators splitting from an X-pipe. The "3600 small round" model is what I'm talking about : http://www.car-sound.com/02product/u...l/36000oem. asp So downpipes > x-pipe > Two 3600 ...

OK -- First let me apologize if there is already a thread with that deals with this specific topic [I'm new to the forum so again, I apologize if this is the case]. My question is this -- I have a 2009 WRX and had swapped out the stock exhaust for the SPT unit back in August. However, the SPT exhaust just droned way too much for me. It's not that it was too loud -- it wasn't at all -- ...

I got mine done at the local exhaust shop, cut it out and welded a bit of straight pipe in. I also run X force headers. I often have other MINI owners the car sounds amazing when I fly past them.
