Frankfurt-Abu Dhabi-Manila in C-class and return in Y-class. Two very different stories. The C-class leg was good, Etihad lounge in Frankfurt is a gem. Flight to AUH an A330. C-class seats are rather narrow, have little storage room, but recline flat. Food and amenities very good. IFE is a big disappointment, with a selection of movies and music which is not inspiring. AUH-Manila on the ...

Flat beds good but narrow. Best seats are window. Very little sleep on flight from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne because of crying baby in front row of Business Class. If I had have been in last row of First Class on the other side of curtain I would be even more annoyed. Meal order not taken on 2 different sectors - missed out on choice.

Lousy name if they want global brand recognition. But it just goes to show how the learning curve can be shortened by emulating the leaders. Very easy to be a top airline. Buy the latest planes, give more legroom, leather seats, better food and entertainment (lower margins). Then hire the managers and service crew from SIA, Cathay etc. In 5 years they will be the leaders. At the very ...
