On a Mac, how do I stop EOS Utility from opening every time I plug the camera into MacBook? I've looked everywhere and can't see it in the preferences. Am I just too tired, or am I missing something?

I have a question. . .I have never used the EOS Utility program that came with my 20D. I just ordered PS Elements 8. Does PS Elements do the same thing as EOS Utility? Is there any reason I need both? Thanks in advance!

Hey all, Im hoping this is a simple fix and that Im just being an idiot, but Im having some sort of issue with EOS Utility. Im going to be shooting in the studio for the next few months and prefer to shoot tethered when I can. Everything Ive read suggests that you have to have EOS Utility to do so. Whenever I run it(Ver. 2.6.1) and I plug in my camera, it tells me it's not recognized. ...

I COULD just load the EOS Utility program and see if it will do what I want but, it is easier and quicker to ask the forum readers. Will the EOS utility allow me to download RAW images from my CF card (using a card reader), take a quick look at some of them to see if the camera has any malfunctions, and then copy the RAW images to an external hard drive? Could I batch title the images? ...

Hi. I have a friend that uses Canon EOS Utility on his Mac, simply for importing and viewing his photos. I don't know a lot about this piece of software, but from what I've seen, it looks inferior (very old fashioned) compared to iPhoto '09. Is there any advantage to using Canon EOS Utility over iPhoto '09? Surely anything you can do in Canon EOS Utility you can do in iPhoto '09.

This started a couple days ago. It won't connect properly to either of my cameras. It opens like usual when I plug a camera in, but greys out both of the download buttons as well as the camera settings button. I've reinstalled it with no change. Help? Anyone who suggests a card reader will be shot, there are more things to life than transferring pictures.

How do I set up EOS utility to continously sequentially number files it is download to the PC when remote shooting? It seems like the files start at 1 in each subdirectory on the PC, rather than one more than the last file shot (like would be done on the card). And then I think if I close the app or turn off the camera, the program tries to start at file number 1 again. If that ...

I sometimes use a 40D USB-tethered to a laptop. I've tried EOS Utility and have been able to use most of its capability for tethered shooting and remote control. But I find it obscure, maybe not possible, to do a most useful thing: show me what I just shot on the laptop, without having to be at its computer keyboard. I want to place a laptop where a portrait subject can pose (Live View), then ...

Hi - I've recently installed this utility to capture photographs from my Canon 5D Mark II to my MacBook Pro (OS 10.5.8) via a USB link. Unfortunately I only get an on-screen Quick Preview from the first shot, but not for subsequent shots during that session. It saves the photos to disk OK. How can I get it to show Quick View on my laptop for all the shots as they are taken? Thanks Derek

card readers vary enormously in quality... you can't go too far wrong with any sandisk or lexar though obviously the more you spend... the better the quality you need an sdhc reader, you could go for something cheap but I'd suggest getting this in case you move to a body that uses cf cards

Some Mac head should come along but LightRoom probably does it anyway if you have that, and I can't believe Aperture doesn't do it. I actually use Windows Explorer on a PC. YOu can't tell me there isn't a Mac equivalent. I do occasionally use the EOS Utility as well. Never had problems with it.

Download even een gratis trial van appzapper, volg de aanwijzingen en delete met appzapper de EOS utility. Daarna opnieuw installeren. Gebeurt nu eenmaal wel eens, hoe ontzettend slecht ook..
