1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data Why does electrolysis of molten NaCl yield sodium and chlorine, while electrolysis of a solution of NaCl in water yields sodium hydroxide and chlorine. 2. Relevant equations 3. The attempt at a solution

Electrolysis on my face: If I have it done Tuesday morning, what is the recovery like? RO I have had laser once or twice and that was just red for an hour or so. I would put on concealor maybe 15mins afterward and was fine to walk around.... but electrolysis is different right? plus I stopped accutane in february..

I would like to recommend Dolly Norris Electrolysis. She is located in the Valley Dermatology Center in Tarzana, CA (San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles). She not only performs electrolysis services, but she is also a NuSkin consultant. Although I haven't used the Galvanic Spa myself I have heard that it is a very cost effective alternative to expensive spa treatments. For more ...

I've just had my brows waxed. Again. I swear the older I get the faster they are out of control and overwhelming my already too narrow face. Has anyone here had electrolysis? Or is that now outdated and there's a new fangled permanent removal solution?

Hi guys, I studied some chemistry in University, but that was a long time ago at this stage so be gentle Basically, I need some information on electrolysis and iso-electric alignment. Firstly, here's what I think these terms mean: Electrolysis From memory, electroysis involes separating the mobile ions within a liquid by applying current between two electrodes immersed in the liquid. A ...

Here is the question: Predict the products formed at the anode and at the cathode when NaBr(aq) is electrolysed using inert electrodes Answer: Somehow i got 2 different answers by different answer sheets One of them stated that Br 2 gas (anode) and H 2 gas (cathode) would be liberated However, the other one writes H 2 (cathode) , H 2 O and O 2 (anode) are formed There is no ...

Quote from: renge ishyo on Yesterday at 02:30:06 PM I always thought the platinum was acting as a catalytic surface to facilitate the conversion of H 2 to 2H + back and forth Yes, especially if covered with platinum blak it lover overpotantial of such reaction. But as I understand the question ikt asks about why pltinum electrode has the same potential as the redox couple present in ...

These are not what you'd call spoilers, more applications of basic physics. Still, if you don't even want potential clues, look away now . Electrolysis: when subjected to strong electric current, water is separated into its component molecules, oxygen and hydrogen. Unlikely and impractical, as it'd require a large amount of power (still, it's how they killed the creature at the end of ...
