Hi everyone!! I'd just like to share this SMBC recipe that I made just now using egg white powder. I browsed high and low to see if anyone has ever successfully made SMBC using egg white powder but to no avail. So with just a hunch, I tried and it turned out just fine! (believe me, I had my worries!) Here's my version: 2 teaspoon egg white powder, diluted in 14 tsp ...

I was just wondering if anyone had tried this ... it says it's sweetened with stevia. GNC has an egg white protein powder, but it's made with aspartame. Yech. I wish they would outlaw that stuff. I am going to grab a couple of single serve packs tomorrow at Super Supplements tomorrow to try for myself, but was just wondering if anyone had tried it. I remember someone mentioning it ... ...

( I tried the Jay Robb chocolate flavor. It was OK, but I can't say I loved it. It had a really salty after-taste. I ended up doctoring it quite a bit, with a little instant coffee, some cream, a squirt of chocolate syrup, and mixing that well with a hand blender, then pouring the whole concotion over ice. My husband got me some Now egg white protein mix from Whole Foods, just plain, and ...

I run with the manta that "fresh is best". That doesn't mean I hate frozen products... my mantra can refer to fresh peppers or tomatos straight from your garden or from the local farm market, or it can mean fish processed and flash frozen at sea within a few hours of catching. In both cases, few hours passed between the time of death/picking, and purchase/consumption. Freezing is a technique ...

My husband wrote this: " I mix a scoop of vanilla whey powder, about two or three heaping tablespoons of farmer cheese, an egg yolk, and a half a teaspoon of baking powder. This makes a thick paste. Then beat the egg white, with a half a teaspoon of cream of tartar, so it is quite stiff, with a lot of volume. Mix a quarter of this with the egg yolk mixture, to lighten and thin it, and then ...

I, too, tend to use a 3 egg mixture and add baking powder. I will also separate one of the eggs and whisk the white until it only just forms soft peaks. I then use the following method: Cream the sugar into the butter. Mix in the two whole eggs and third egg yolk. Gently fold in the whisked egg white using a metal spoon. Fold in the sifted flour, again gently with a ...
