Hello There, Another newbie to this forum and I need some help. I'm rebuilding my Dads by upgrading the RAM and changing the 40 GB hard drive for a 320GB but have hit a major stumbling block. I have a "tsstcorp cd dvdw sh-s162a". I'm wondering if I could use the DVD-RAM feature to act as another HDD and put my XP pagefile on the DVD-RAM drive? it's an LG (HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22LP20) it's brand new, it only burns successfully once, and now it's not reading CDs/DVDs anymore, as in not reading anymore!! Thanks in advance. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can dual-channel as long as you have 2 pairs of sticks (2x512 + 2x1024 is fine). However, they will run at the looser set of timings, and probably a bit looser still due to the stress on the controller with 4 sticks. (They also need to accept the same voltage.) So yes! if you get matching sticks it will be dual channel, but they don't need to match so long as the new pair matches ...

Pour répondre à Cryio. Oui j'ai essayé, mais ca n'a rien changé, c'est un pb connu au niveau de la carte mere (ca concerne qu'un intervalle de numero de series). Le pb de touche, je saurai pas te dire. 100€ c'est en main propre sur Paris. FDP à la charge de l'acheteur. i6bazar est preneur à mon prix sur paris, donc c'est pour lui! on passe en MP? Probably not. What you're doing sounds like a very old-fashioned method that requires a lot of work and must take ages. If your internet connection isn't very good, buy a TV card for your PC and record and edit the videos in a far more direct fashion, or just skip all the work entirely and download a copy of the show from your favourite P2P network. ______ Patrick Kielty is rubbish.
