Fourthquarter..not much experience w/ DSCO (.89). They have had a lot of issues in getting Surfaxin approved in the past. Their history with the FDA has not been a good one. Not sure what they are doing to move their company forward. Best, $heff Message In Reply To: $heff....I am planning to take a position in DSCO..Monday AM.. Any comment from you regarding this stock would be greatly ...

Anyone here live near Irvine Ca? It might be interesting to cruise by Cortex headquarters and snoop around a little. I did that a couple times here on the East Coast (DSCO, BIOC), and though I didn't come away with much new info, you never know what might be gleaned from just walking around, talking to the receptionist/secretary, asking if key personnel are travelling, seeing if people are ...

Capetola did resign his seat on the Board at the same time he resigned as CEO. The BOD immediately voted to change the number of board members from six to five. Now there are only five up for election in December. Outsiders are not welsome. msg 2997

Au contraire, I think it is an appropriate question. Unless my memory is failing me, DSCO has been "exploring strategic alternatives" for some time. If there is a deal out there, it can't take that long. The likely attorney fees are probably more than the deal is worth. msg 3002

WHY is big pharma seemingly not interested? With all due respect, I think that is a bad question. It is meant to answer itself but only misleads IMHO. My answers FWIW: A. Unless you are an insider, you know nothing about the interest from Big Pharma. There could be a bidding war or zero interest. Price haggling may be going on now. Inquiries may be serious or not. The ...

Terry, the operative question is as I see it: IF it is a great product, there is little no competition, and there is an identified path to approval, WHY is big pharma seemingly not interested? DSCO is flat-out up against the financial stops and the money involved for a buyout at even a generous multiple is chump change to BP. There used to be a frequent poster here who would loudly ...

Anybody interested in DSCO might want to listen to the latest CC to be found at: www.Discoverylabs.com. Capetola gave good press conferences and so did the new guys with a southern twang. One hardball question was how the "new team" was different from the old one. That was fielded well I thought. Sure the people were mostly the same but there was a new attitude with ...

There's a big difference between PRWP and DSCO. DSCO's Surfaxin has been shown to work in randomized Phase III clinical studies in a number of important indications. Their failure to obtain an NDA is due to their inability to demonstrate they can manufacture the same stuff as was used in the aforesaid clinical studies consistently, together with the extreme incompetence and ...

Terry, this is not a case of chicken and egg. In DCSO's case the egg definitely comes first and the egg is an equivalence trial. They are nowhere without it and I don't see how they stay afloat long enough to conduct it. Further, if Quintiles calls the loan, they are toast. They NEED a partner of some sort. It ain't like the fair maiden has years to pick her husband. I don't have a ...
