Hi, I have a number of domain names which are due for renewal and also some that I would like to register. I'm currently with Netfirms and iPower as they were the best value for money at the time and I had no problems with them to date. Can someone please suggest the cheapest domain registrar for .com and .ie domain names? I realise that ICAN N and IEDR have their own TLD list ...

To be clear emerb - I am not the competition, or any competition. I do not sell domains or hosting or most of the stuff blacknight sell at all, in any way, direct or otherwise. You expressed an opinion, as did I, I could back mine up with some facts. I'm not arguing with you (although you seem happy to argue with me (see your earlier comments)).

I still keep some my domains with GoDaddy and can see no reason to transfer them away from there. Among reliable domain name registrars I delt with Namecheap, GoDaddy and Network Solutions. These ones seem to be the best for me.

With your requirements, you can get a plan with a quality host for $10 (or less) per month. You had mentioned HawkHost and I think they would suit you very well. You may also want to look at DowntownHost. For domain name registrars, Namecheap is probably the most popular option on here and would come recommended by myself as well. Dave
