Hi, Took mine (& the factory electric) off the diesel for nearly a year, had 2 after, arket 10" fans infront of the radiator. Ran fine never overheated but I didn't do any sand work on a hot summers day! Found I didn't get much cooling of the intercooler and had near zero difference in fuel economy. i used a Stilson, and a big shifter, plank of wood and a small bit of steel pipe. once i had the extra leverage it only took my open palm to push it off. didnt need to swing off it a stilson is a plumbers wrench with sharp teath so they can grab smooth serfaces.

Just buy the $10 nut that covers the shaft on the water pump and call it a day. The fan and fan clutch are really pretty useless unless you drive in rush hour traffic in Dubai in the summer.
