Daylight running lights on U.S. Vehicles

Currently in the U.S., it is not required to have headlights on while driving during daylight. In some countries, for example Canada and most of Europe, it is required to have headlights on, whether on high or low beam.

I hate these things!!! They are blinding!! In bad weather i can see them being usefull BUT NOT FOR GENERAL EVERYDAY USE!!

I live in Quebec, and everyday I see so many cars without DRL. I'm not talking about cars built before 1990, but recent cars. Isn't there a law here ini Canada, that every car built after 1990 must have DRL's on during the day? I don't know why some want them off, when they can save lives. I don't know about other parts of Canada, but here, I counted that about a car out of 20 has no ...

So I've got a set of LightWerkz angel eyes ready to be installed onto my 2009 STi, but I'm quite n00b when it comes to the electrical aspect of the car. The idea is to disable my halogen DRLs and use the angel eyes instead. 98 USA & Daylight Running Lights?

Anyone have a wiring diagram for the 98 USA model? I have a Haynes manual and it is only for 4.1 with DRL's. I need to add DRL to my 98 so that I can drive it in Canada thus I need a schematic for a non-DRL gen1. Any help is appreciated

I just installed the delta xenon lights & they're much better than stock. They come with a 2nd bulb for daylight running lights. The harness for the DRLs has to be obtained directly from delta, but when you do that notice there's a an upgrade LED option for the DRLs. Just an fyi.....I've ordered it and will update when it's installed.
