Was wondering if anyone could give me some reference/opinions on these dogs and using them to track deer. We've been looking into getting a pup from John and Jolanta Jeanneney's kennel (NY) Has anyone got a pup from them or knows someone that has one? Thanks in advance.

I was at a friends house a couple years ago. This friend breeds mini daschunds and also has a mini pinscher. We were standing outside and her dogs were on the deck. from Spirit today. I saw it in the store and there were only 2 left so I decided to buy one. I love even though it is pretty loud up close but he's gonna go in our backyard so it won't be too distracting. My daschunds didn't like him so much. The older one kept trying to get under the sheet and when he couldn't he was grabbing the ghost by the sheet and trying to drag it away..lol

OK, so we have always gone to the Fort with the dogs. However, we lost our Daschund 3 years ago and our larger mixed breed just this past January. Happy News! I'd suggest contacting Lisa at dog training ireland. i believe she owns Daschunds and can probably provide you with info with regard to temperment, diet, exercise and health issues( as she has been put through the mill with health issues with her dogs)
