Actually, I am using Firewire, not midi. But for some reason the setup in the manual has you go through this page of checkmarks to set up the interface between the remote n12 controller and Cubase. I prefer Sonar, which I have. But the mixer is made to work with Cubase, which I have used for a couple years before this. I just bought this unit a couple months ago, and it was working until ...  |

If you're thinking the Virtual Instruments - you'd need a special track, I think it is called "Instruments" in LE4. I am not sure how you can control tempo changes within the plugin but you can use the LE's arranger to control overall tempo for the song. It is all in the manual |

LOL ok I did actually read / scan the manual last week and didn't see anything about the sequencer but the sequencer I can live without, I just have seen people since using it on the XS keyboard on youtube and thought it was probably on the Rack too. I can use those transport keys to control cubase anyway so that's cool ... Thanks a lot for your help it's at least put my mind at rest ... |

Bowjest, Reaper is not expensive, and some versions of Cubase are shipped free with audio interfaces. The MBox includes a light version of ProTools. Before you go down that route though, are you sure that you have not missed something in the owner's manual for your Edirol? About 2 years ago I was sold a copy of SE after explaining I wanted to begin home recording, play with MIDI and the like. As a total novice at this stuff, the store sold me SE. I'm not a newbie at techie stuff so thought I'd be OK understanding it from the user manual. But no!!! Never have I stumbled across such a lousy instruction book. hi, i have installed service pack 3 on bootcamp on new macbook. i cant get any sound with all my audio applications, even windows media player. i can see the levels and audio files playing within the software ( soundforge, wavelab, cubase etc) but cant get any sound to come out the macbook internal speakers........ ive tried all the available audio driver settings from within ... |

Hello.. This is an amazing new 8 Track Firewire Mixer from Alesis; MultiMix 8 . This mixer was one of 4 purchased to use to record one show but this mixer had no firewire cable in the box and we couldn't use this one which was then reboxed, it has NEVER been turned on (you will clearly see how new this thing is when you get it as the power supply is in it's original packing and the mixer is ... |
