Hello, I was wondering if anybody has any experience with Costa Cruise Lines specifically going to the Western Carribbean? I have read some mixed reviews... If you have gone cruising with them how is the food/customer service/rooms? I notice that they do not stay very long in the ports (6 hours) as compared to other cruise lines which are between 8 - 10 hours is this enough time to go on ...

Planning a trip to Greece in May 2010 and would like to Cruise in the Aegean. Does anyone know if Aegean Pearl or Aquamarine is used for the 4 day itinerary stopping in Santorini ? Can you disembark at Santorini with all your luggage? What about the "weather permitting" caveat? Is that a concern in May?

There has been discussion on another forum about cruise lines and Segway use for the disabled. .. Princess, Carnival and now (with memories of the one cruise I've taken) I just called Holland America.... Same story on all three: You can bring your Segway to use on land where allowed but you may not use it on board. Anyone here have a different story or experience with using one on ...

After my bad experience with the service on the Zuiderdam, I am wondering if all Hal ships have the same service, or are some ships better than others? Same with RCCL, Princess, Carnival, etc? Have any of you experienced better or worse service and quality on ships from the same line? Just wondering....

Has anyone cruised Royal Caribbean? The reason I ask is that we have only cruised Disney, and love it! We are considering a Royal Caribbean summer cruise because the price & destination match our needs better then the Disney summer cruise. We will be travelling with my parents, 6 other adults, & 5 children ages 14,11,10,7, 6. I am nervous that we'll be disappointed as we thoroughly enjoy the ...

I forgot to mention, the entertainment at night was excellent. The cirque du soleil inspired show was more enjoyable than the actual cirque du soleil show that we saw in Toronto! I was disappointed with the quality of pasta, surprising in that Costa is an Italian cruise line. If you do book at a great price, make sure you get a higher category of cabin as the cabins are tiny in the lower ...

Service does seem to vary from ship to ship on the same cruise line. Sometimes, even from sailing to sailing on the SAME ship. The pax base and number of pax also has something to do with it. On our B2B in January our room steward told us he had 12 more people in cabins (more pax per cabin) on his station than our first sailing so he'd be extra busy! He told us to be...

We never go into the casinos for several reasons. One, we don't gamble. Two, too much smoking. And three, too many flashing lights that might set off Deb's migraines. Wish they were not such good money makers for the ships so we could have fewer of them.

shelly, I wrote this for sans in a earlier post so I copied the info for you: I'm just going to tell you what we did, and we loved it all! We were also on Louis Cruises, Cristal. We did Istanbul mostly on our own as we were there 3 days, but did take a tour to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and that was thru the cruise line. Mykonos - We walked the town and shopped the small quaint ...
