Trying to convert LH to Haltech EMS. The double clutch flywheel has a 60-2 tooth ring installed. The problem is the Crank Angle Sensor is too long (by 10mm) and is touching the 60-2 tone ring. The sensor in the photo is REFERENCE MARK SENSOR 944-606-115. Is this sensor the correct part? or is their some sort of spacer I'm missing? Thanks

I'm running my engine using a Megasquirt, and I have a question about triggering from the stock Probe setup. I have read Matt Cramer's write-up, but it doesn't match what I have... I understand that the crank angle sensor is a variable reluctance sensor, not a hall sensor, but it has 3 wires - a red, a green and a black. I've played with a voltmeter and waved spanners about in front of ...

OK, so I went through about 15 of the forums pages and didn't see any relevent threads so I'm posting a new one. My '06 Sorento just started having problems at cold starts with hard trans engagement. Meaning, when I shift it into reverse or drive when cold, it drops in real hard ( or harder than normal). BTW Auto trans. This started about two weeks ago and the "Check Engine" light came on ...

Ok, so I'm still having this no-start problem with my 1990 tsi awd. I have a new ECU on the way, and my fingers are crossed that this will solve the problem. Meanwhile, a few people have also suggested that it could be the CAS ( although it still wouldn't explain why my ECU wont give me any codes ). So, I was reading somewhere that IF the CAS is bad or unplugged, the car will not ...

Erik you are the goto guy! Spec is .8 mm = .031" I used 5/8 flat washes and got .030" air gap. Should be perfect as Haltech will allow me to modify the signal as the ECM sees it.

What's an easy way to change the bearing? Push it until the engine is at TDC or something? I read it ages ago but I've only ever done it this way.
