So I was giving over clocking my Intel Q9300 a try for the first time. I set the fsb to 400 x 7.0 to give me 2.8 although I'm shooting for 3.0. I have the vid set to 1.2250v but yet when I run Prime 95 the temps shot up to 60-65c in less then 2 minutes. I have a zalmen aftermarket cooler and my side panel taken off, does anyone have a solution to why my temps are so high at such a low speed?

Ok, i have a very old pc and the cpu is intel celeron and the max speed is 800Mhz. Yesterday, I overclocking this cpu, the first time is ok because the overclock level is at the range of 633-800 ( the overclocked cpu - 757 Mhz). When i'm put the overclock level which is too high, the PC won't boot up and suddenly producing noisy beeping sound. Is anybody can help me to solve this problem? ...

I've been thinking about overclocking my CPU when I finish building my computer, but what's the highest I could safely overclock it? It's an AMD Phenom II X4 955 (3.2GHz). Overclocking voids warranties doesn't it? Damn, I just don't want anything to happen to it..

Honnêtement, E5200@4Ghz tu as peut être le meilleur rapport perf/prix du moment. J'avais regardé les tests (que tu peux regarder également), les instructions manquantes ne sont pas vraiment pénalisantes. A ta place je le garderais, et je mettrais une CG bien moderne qui pootre. DO NOT USE AUTO SETTINGS ON VOLTAGE!!!!!!! For the speed you are trying to reach (3.8, correct?) your vcore is too low. You will likely be looking at around 1.3-1.35, at least, for that speed, especially on a C0. Are you stress testing and monitoring your temperatures?

Oui tu peux regarder c'est pareil (le e5400 c'est finalement un core 2 duo un peu bridé avec un peu de mémoire interne en moins, bref ça se comporte pareil)

well i wouldnt use ntune at all. use a program like msi afterburner or evga precision to overclock gpu. and use bios to oc cpu. did u use driver sweeper in safe mode when changing drivers? def worth a try.
