I have recently bought compaq presario C795TU, and am using Windows XP though it supports Vista. When i plug in my headset, my laptop speakers should automatically turn off, but it does not happen. Also, my microphone is not detecting my voice. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all

My compaq mini 110 laptop won't turn on. When i plugged in with an AC, it doesn't show any power and led of num lock and caps lock are also off. I have checked supplied voltage from the external PSU and also tried to restart many times but no fix.. Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to fix it?Any help will be extremely appreciated.

Again, a friend of mine has a problem He needs a driver for this audio device, for windows xp sp2: Intel(r) 82801CA/CAM AC'97 audio controller He told me that he contacted compaq support, and that they pointed him to the soundmax audio driver download. However, he did not manage to install that driver. Anyone? Thanks
