its a chevy 350 motor, randomly one day on acceleration it began backfiring repeatedly, after multiple carb and timing adjustments, no improvement, then one day upon driving up a hill that normally would handle 65 no problem, the truck lost all power, too the floor could barely stay at 35. what does this sound like? is it possibly a bad cam? or some sort of deeper problem? any advice would be ...

Hello! We recently purchased a Graco MR65 for our son who will be 12 months in a few weeks. He is about 25 lbs. This seat will be installed RF. We are trying to install it in our 1994 Chevy Suburban (WITHOUT LATCH). I wasn't no where near happy with the side to side movement by just using the shoulder belt behind the passenger seat to secure the MR65. It seems very unsafe. We followed the manual ...

I am planning on 4 linking my suburban since my rear leaf set up sucks. I was originally planning on getting the brackets from shaffers but I would of had to remove a crossmember and some other stuff for it to fit. So now I am going to build my own brackets, It would really be nice if the tabs came with 3/4" holes for the huge ballistic 3" joints I am going to run. For my lower ...

Hi, I have a 1994 Chevy Suburban 4x4 (1500). The good news: Engine/Transmission work fine. The interior is in pretty good shape for a 16 year old truck (we have the optional third seat). The exterior is also in pretty good shape (there is some rust and a dent or two, but all in all not too bad. The bad news: The gas...

Not sure if this will help but look at the recall Chevy had in October 2005 on the fuel module resorvoir. Certain 2001 models had prbolems with the fuel pump when the gas went below a quarter of a tank. My will cause a fuel stall or no start condition. My wires overheated in a gas station burning a hole in the connector body and I dumped fuel while on vacation in Florida. A nightmare of the 4th ...
worn cam lobe is my guess but I would check other things before Plugs, plug wires, dizzy, coil, fuel filter, fuel pump, gummed up carburetor etc. But ill go with the worn lobe. My friend had that same problem with his car and it slowly went from a top speed of 70 to a top speed of 25 mph lol

UPDATE As you probably figured, the cleaning of the ground terminals did not help the situation. I cleaned the engine-to-frame grounds near the starter, cleaned the battery cable-to block ground near the harmonic balancer, and the ECM/PCM ground at the thermostat housing. I rechecked all the fuses for the 6th time -- All ok, also jump-charged the "newer" battery for an hour---- Engine still ...

Thanks for all the info!!!! I will relay all this to my husband and see what he wants to do. Right now I have it in the middle with the lapbelt. I put all my weight in it and got it cinched down as much as it can be. The seat doesn't move AT ALL now. Well just a tad at the top end but I hear that is normal. And it is even level! =) I had a Graco Snugride infant carseat. I didn't see a ...
