I was looking at the cSt #s and I see that the syntec blend not the full syntec is a little thicker than gtx in 5w30. Are these oil very close to the same or is the syntec blend better? Also the 5w30 syntec blend says it meets ACEA A1. Anyone know what that is?

I was out at advance picking up some oil for my snowblower. It's a Chinese honda-clone 208cc OHV engine. It calls for 5W-30. I overfilled the mower so I figured I would get a quart to change both of them. Well, they had something that caught my eye. I figured that the mower called for straight 30w, and the snowblower called for 5W-30. Well, I crossed out 5W-30 because it would be too thin for ...

This year is my first full year on Amsoil Small Engine Formula 10W30/30W. Down hear in Texas we have hot sticky days. Over 100 degrees. Between the lawn mower and edger both oils look fine...the mower is honey color.

Does anyone know if the newer formulations (2008+) of Castrol Syntec Blend 5W-30 or 10W-30 have Sodium in the add-pack like GTX now does? I tried searching for UOA/VOA's but the new search wouldn't let me go back far enough to find anything. Thanks
