So Friday i get a letter for a recall on my car for some engine coil and i made an appointment for monday to have it replaced. Wouldn't you know yesterday my car starts acting wierd...It sorta almost is conking out on me and the check engine light goes on. Hi got this Nissan bluebird sss 1997 when i turn the ignition its not retaining power unless i keep pushing the accelerator for a while and then its starts. if i turn the car it just dies unless i hold the accelerator. HELP please

Im from cold ol' Minnesota, and I think it may be the problem. Recently, when starting my car [Manual Transmission] its idle speed when in neutral or in clutch my idle speed stays at a constant 2100 rpm. I was driving my 2001 Bmw m roadster and after coming to a stop i had trouble accelerating. I was revving the car to a maximum just to keep it up to 20 mph. Also when braking, i was able to release pressure off the brakes and the car would not accelerate at all. Allow me to complain about car trouble for a minute, please! We just had to get a bunch of stuff done to Chad's truck for about $1,000 (it was stalling out and just darn near about to break down completely) then we go to get some tires looked at on my car and it turns out that we need 4 new tires...another $500 gone. ^ thanks for the quick reply Nugget! Its a 2001 Focus. I just replaced the fuel filter too, it was pretty gummed up, but It didnt resolve my issues. I try to just hold the gas down (@2000rpm) after it kicks so the revs dont just drop down and die. Sometimes it works, but it runs rough until whatever clears itself. Akira Yuy I see, its an problem for more people. A friend of mine signed in three days ago and has exactly the same problem like you. Im not sure if I should be reliefed that we are not too dumb or disappointed that this is a bug. confused at least you know it's their problem to deal with biggrin
