I saw a great alternative to baking them in the ice cream
cones. Bake the cupcakes as usual, then fill the flat bottomed cone with m&ms for stability, then take the liner off the cupcake, frost the top but turn it upside down onto the cone. Then frost the cupcake "bottom" to make it look like a scoop of ice cream and decorate. I did these for a friend's birthday, and they were easy...
