A little off topic, but I thought I would ask you guys. What is the best cell phone you have had? My phone broke the other day, and I loved it. I had a Samsung Black Jack II. I have ordered a Nokia Surge for me and a Motorola Karma for DH. Anyone have either of these phones? Do you like it? What's the best phone you've ever had?

My son will be studying at the U of Edinburgh for one semester beginning in January. Does anyone have advice on the best option for a telephone for only five months? He has an American iphone but I have read this can be extremely expensive to use outside the US. Thanks for any input.

This may be old news, or not a very good deal but I thought it was. I have been on vodafone contract for a few years now and my Bills are getting high. I used to be on 60+1 Which you talk for 60 and pay for 1. The business i am in i do not make long calls. so this tariff is no good. I am now on Plana super mini which is 60 per month. You get 500 min free a month to any network and landlines ...

My personal favourites are Sony Ericssons, they're like German cars, they hardly ever go wrong, easy to use and the best for music. The best phone around in the UK at the moment is the Nokia N95 due to sat nav capabilities and all the gadgets, however the battery on the N95 lasts around 2 days, that's without using it.

I'm looking for a new mobile phone plan. I don't use my mobile all that much. Only to call DH or if i really need to make a call whilst i'm out. I'm tossing up between the Optus $19 plan, where you get $50 optus2optus (perfect for DH and I to call each other) and $50 worth of other calls. So all up $100 worth of calls. I think their call costs are about 92c/min, so quite high. Or the...

Velma - You could try to find an unlocked IPhone if you really wanted one, then you could use it with Verizon. Just an idea. I am so NOT a techy phone person. DH and I have Palm Centros with Sprint. Got them this time last year. I like my phone fine - but the qwerty keyboard is SO friggin small, I can only type with my right thumbnail while holding it with my left hand. LOL...If I didn't...

Re: Favourite/Best Mobile Phone? haha, Sony Ericsson is a piece of shit. Nokia is one of the better ones, but I prefer Samsung because their phones have true Bluetooth capabilities and thats wrong about the software faults . Next you're going to tell me Linux has no software faults either.

I dont think you'd be able to get MP3, camera and a video camera in $100 unless you make $700 look like $100. I got V3i a few months ago. I love it... the only negatives are: - The keypad wears off... i know i use it heaps but i had no idea the keypad would wear off like that - The battery dies very very very quickly (or maybe i just use it too much) - It freezes sometimes ...

o2 are currently doing a £20 a month iphone simplicity tariff. This is a rolling monthly contract and can be cancelled by giving 30 days notice. Might be worth contacting o2 customer services and see if this will work on his iphone. Means he will only get a new SIM and not a new phone.
