Pharmacists now have to get a PhD in pharmacology to graduate in the USA. You first attend college for 4 years and major in biology or other sciences. Then you take a graduate exam to apply for pharmacy school. Then you attend college for about 5 more years before you are a pharmacist. So probably about 9 years total of college.

I'm 22 and half way done with my pharmacy tech schooling/cert in oregon. I plan to work for at least a year in a pharmacy before attempting Oregon State University's PharmD program, its estamated around $240k for all my schooling. Just for S&G, what are some funny responses that you use when people ask " why did/do you want to become a pharmacist"? Ones ive heard so far: "Well I already sell drugs and I wanted to go legit." "Well actually im majoring in street pharmacy." etc...lol I know you guys have more.

honestly- you shouldn't be asking on this site for something like this. You should know why you want to do it. Pharmers do make a lot of money- but the job is extremely stressful. And by making stuff, you mean compounding?

Just wondering whether or not this will even look any good. If most people can take the test and pass with minimal difficulty whats the point of taking it? Originally, I wanted to take it just to tack something onto my pharmacy apps but after reading and hearing from friends just how easy this test is, will they even take this into consideration? What do you guys think?
