Hey, just my experience; if you've flushed the block/radiator, installed new thermostat, got new or good hoses, overheating can be caused by a bad radiator cap. check the hoses after car is warmed up; if you can squeeze them, cap is probably the problem. check the new (probably made in china) temp guage using a candy thermometer. my 445 runs great at 190 Butch 64 Wildcat 64 LeSabre...

You have a bad radiator cap... You don't need new hoses or have a blockage. Just install a new radiator cap and post back.

Then it's not a stock '95, as you said originally. Regardless, I'd be much more worried about ruining my bearings if I had gas in the oil. If you're pushing coolant, it could be a bad radiator cap, leaky hose, air bubbles in the system, or a blown head gasket.

Just a thought, I had a collapsing upper radiator hose when the cap went bad on the expansion tank. A new cap fixed the problem.

Had a similar problem on my TJ, I think mine was a combination of the cap being bad and the radiator being clogged. Did you drain the cooling system after using the stop leak? I believe not doing so is what sent mine to radiator heaven with a cracked top.

Mostly minor stuff. Replaced a radiator years ago that went bad. One dizzy cap cracked. And recently replaced the oil pan gasket since it had started weeping. Other than that, just routine maintenance.

Yes the burp tank is the little black box at the front on the right side of the radiator. I had my cap go bad and you could barely tell thats what it was, but that cap is basically a valve. It holds the coolant back with a little rubber seal. If that dont fix your problem, maybe your fans aren't running like they should?

THe refilla caps go bad and I don't think anyone has found a cheap replacement yet. In the States you can get the radiator caps in any auto parts store, but the fill caps are dealer only. I had the same problem and my fill cap was bad. The water pump is right below the fill cap and when the thermostat opens a large volume of coolant will go through the system. You will need to do a ...
