I just saw a post on another thread that I belong to about baby slings. I've checked them out and they look pretty cool. They came out after I had my last and was thinking about getting one with this baby. Have any of you checked them out and have been thinking of getting one?? Or are there any mom's here who have had one before?

Does your baby enjoy being in a sling or carrier? If so what kind of carrier/sling do you use? If you have tryed many what do you like or dislike? I currently own a babyhawk mei tai and Katarina doesn't care for it. I hope she does soon since she loves being carried. I tryed a pouch but couldn't figure it out hehe.

Anyone have experience using a baby sling? I see women with them all the time & seems like such a great, comfy way for baby to "travel".... nice & close to mom! Anyone know of any reliable pattens for sewing these yourself? They seem too pricey for their simplicity!

I am at my wits end with these baby slings. I have tried 3 different slings (either L or XL) and they don't fit right. I was a size 16-18 before I got preggo and so I feel like and XL should work. Am I just out of luck or has anyone found a baby sling that works with plus size mamas?

Does anyone know any stores that you can buy baby slings? I've seen them online but I'd rather buy one in person, I just don't know where to go for them. Also, if anyone uses one, what do you think of them? I'm not really into wearing her all day or anything, I just want some free hands to do chores and stuff every once in a while.

Hi sarah welcome to ab My friend uses a mai tai for her baby and she says that they are great you can even lay baby flat i think not sure how they work Im thinking of using one of these also there are classes where i live on using these slings Hope you find one you like

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId =3500161 so i bought a similar baby sling to this one the other day. i took it out and put it on just to see how it goes on and everything. it felt kinda weird and i guess you need to have the baby in it to actually see how it feels. but i was wondering if these are any good? like useful? im thinking of returning it to get one of those front...

I have a sleepy wrap and my LO LOVES it. Wearing it is the only way I can get anything done around the house. Side note, I heard that babies should only be carried facing your chest not facing outward because facing outward can hurt their hips or something like that. I don't remeber exactly what the issue was, but I'd look it up before I decided to put my baby forward facing.

I also love my Ergo, we have that for my 2 yo DD. Up until I got pregnant I still used it often. I love my Ergo, but this time with this baby I'd like to invest in a Babytrekker ;)

Both the slings I purchased were from luckybaby.com. My advice, error on the small side. If they hang to low they bounce off your thighs when you walk which isn't the point. I loved mine until my DS was almost 1 and I wanted an upright option where his weight was on both shoulders. I made my own and have made them as gifts for many many friends. I found a free pattern for a mei tai carrier ...
