I never had an ATi card in my life. So some questions: 1) Which ati card is equivalent to nvidia 9600gt? 2) I heard ati drivers are crap? 3) For playing hd videos smoothly nvidia has coreavc(cuda). What about ATi? 4) Which is the best brand of ATi? Power Color?

Check out the compatibility of your of your motherboard with this series of the Graphic cards of the ATI. If it supports then buy this graphic card and install it in your computer system. I think it has something to do with Catalyst's scaling. For my Studio 1537 with the HD3450, it refuses to scale things to full screen even if I specify in "Scaling Options" of Catalyst Control Center to "Full Screen."

Yes even I am going to purchase The Void for my desktop computer. But currently there is no graphic card on my motherboard. I am using only the onboard graphics of 64 MBs.
