Hahaha I figure an education costs us no matter how we get it. I have had my share of losers, trust me. Ones that dropped so fast I couldn't sell in time. So now, I will gladly sacrifice some profit to maintain a positive balance sheet. I have said this a million times, but I will again, I hope I'm totally wrong about this one, and that you all make money. I spent a number of years as a VP in a ...

I don't get the big deal about Carey Mulligan's performance. All she did was giggle. wtf. And Sarsgaard's accent was hideous. The only performance I enjoyed at all was Al Molina's. 2.5/4 A lone, unsuccessful Supporting Actor nomination. Your thoughts? I'm not gonna write you a love song

I belong to an independent & foreign film discussion group called TalkAboutFilms. In the summer of 2003 we began recording our discussions for posting on the web to share with others interested in independent & foreign film and who might be interested in a discussion of the films. As all the members of our group will attest to, our enjoyment and experience of seeing independent & foreign films is...

Enchanting Carey Mulligan , who deserves all the Audrey Hepburn comparisons, delivers a breakout performance. She is a virtual lock for a Best Actress Oscar nomination. F antastic period details!! Peter Sarsgaard always adds a lot to anything he appears in. Final Grade: B

Finally got to see this movie after many delays this week, and for my money it was worth the wait. So gorgeously directed and so sharply written, this is easily one of the best films I've seen all year. If anyone's curious, I posted a full review of it on my movie blog: http://mcneilmatinee.blogspot.com/2009/11/review-e ducation.html

Please take a look at my new Geeklist auction. I need to raise some quick funds to pay for school. Turns out I owe more money than I thought I would and now I need to cough it up. Thanks, and happy bidding! http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48903

Well, I wasn't as impressed by Mulligan as I thought I'd be. It's an enjoyable performance and certainly one I think the Academy is going to love. People calling a nomination are right. But, I feel like it was also the classic debut performance. You know, actress the audience isn't familiar with gives a charming performance in a stylish coming-of-age film. Strong, but not great. Emotionally ...

I know it's sexist, but it seems like it's true :( It seems like there are a lot more men out there without a college degree that are still successful, than there are women. Seems like if your a woman and you want to be successful, you gotta go to college. If I didn't go to college i can't think of one thing I could do and be successful. My boyfriend on the other hand, he went to college for ...

If this movie was made about contemporary people living in the United States, I think that many people would feel much differently about it. An older man, probably in his 30's takes up with a 16 year old girl? Maury audience members would be booing this pair. Well, I just wanted to put that out there. Did I like the movie? Well, not so much. The movie looks great and definitely kept me interested...
